Dear Thunder Jet,

This past August I received my new Thunder Jet Luxor from TNT Marine in Abbotsford British Columbia. I ordered a very well equipped model, 350 carb, SD 309 with HTRII, suspension seats, .250 bottom, the works! Not three weeks after receiving my new boat I was making the 22 hour drive north to Fort Nelson B.C. with my Luxor in tow. Why?......I was going to hunt the Muskwa/Kethika management area, known as the "Serengeti of the North". This area is only accessible by plane, horseback, or jet boat. The rivers in this area twist and wind their way through some of B.C.'s most remote wilderness. As we loaded the boat with our supplies my thoughts were on the HUGE load we were about to carry the 55 miles up to the river to camp. The muskwa, although the largest river in the area has almost every type of jet boating water you can imagine. As I stood over the riverbank looking at the load in my boat the reality of the upcoming danger hit me square in the chest! This was my first time running this river, not empty but loaded to the top! Three large men, food for 16 days, a wall tent, wood stove, cots, personal gear, clothing, rifles, and the 100 gallons of EXTRA fuel for exploring the waterways. Not to mention a brand new boat! My chest was pounding when I told my hunting partners to jump in and hold on! I hit the throttle hard and fast, much to my surprise the hole shot was no more than 2 boat lengths and I was able to come off the throttle enough so that I had LOTS of RPM left to safely maneuver my way to camp. The three hour ride to camp was filled with the loud cheering of my two companions as we flawlessly made our way through extremely shallow sections, standing waves, narrow slots, boulder strewn rapids, and mind numbing turns, all the while one though in my head... THIS BOAT HANDLES LIKE A DREAM!! The 16 days running up and down the river to hunt different areas allowed me to learn very quickly what my boat is capable of... and what it is not(Yup, the boat can take a good hit as well!)Since that trip I have had the joy of running quite a few different bodies of water and the boat has handled extremely well under all the conditions I have faced. Thank you very much for putting a boat together that handles so well and looks so good! I have attached a few pics of the trip, hope they are not to graphic... but this is what the boat gets used for!!

Sincerely,
Sacha Szymczak

Hi Lex! Just want to say how we love having our thunder jet parked in our drive-way, get to look at it everyday! Merry Christmas to all of you see you next year
the Steinbach's

I own a 2003 22ft Alexis Classic hardtop with the 496 HO option. I wanted to let you know how pleased I have been with this boat. As I recall your ads tout "performance; value and style" and I would give your product straight A's in each of these categories. Concerning performance, your hull design has outstanding handling and ride characteristics. It will get on plane in less than a boat length, corners like it's on rails and performs extremely well even when heavily loaded. As far as value goes, I received bids from three different companies and was pleased to find that the Thunder Jet bid came in thousands less while offering more standard features and without compromising quality . As for style, hey just look at the picture, need I say more! Thanks for a great product. We've enjoyed it immensely.

Just want to compliment you folks at Thunder Jet for the terrific job you did on the Luxor 20' OB I purchased from Sigler's Marine in Portland. Had it just a short time and am totally satisfied with it. The workmanship is great, appearance is tops and the dealership is also great to do business with. Let your welders know that the 1st comment is that the welds are the best they have seen. This is boat #6 and the best. It also catches fish.
Thank You!

Tex Hanson - Longview, Washington

P.S. They have taken over the Columbia down here.

This is to let you know after buying my first 21' Alexis in 2000 and having five great years, I have a new 2006 Alexis Classic and once again Artistic Jets have out done themselves with the best customer service and ongoing service after the sale. Dwight and his employees have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make the entire Thunder Jet experience a pleasure. My wife and I would like to let you know and Dwight and all of his employees know this level of service should not be over-looked. It will not be from us. (Or anyone that will listen to us)

By the way... Thunder Jet Rules!

Thanks Again!

I'm writing just to let you know I'm very pleased with my new Alexis Classic. This is my second Thunder Jet, my first was in 97, my boys were at the age where they had other things on their mind and the only ones I could get to go with me was the guys that wanted to fish, but not pitch in for anything. So I traded in my 1st boat for a custom Harley Davidson which I still have. The wife and I started planning on another boat and I just had to have a Thunder Jet. I can't tell you enough how many compliments I get on the boat. All of the welds are perfect and the finish work is second to none. I purchased the boats from Mike and Dan Berg of Wasilla Arctic Cat here in Alaska. They have treated my whole family with nothing but respect. I have 8 hours on my new boat and plan to put more on before winter. I'm just writing to say Thank You for a very well designed boat and give my thanks to all the people who build the boats!! Oh, I had my wife call the storage place where we have stored our boat in the past and let her know we would be bringing our boat over and Dorothy said, "Theresa, do you think Jon planned this?!" Well I might have-- Thanks again.

Thanks again. Your friends in Alaska,

Jon and Theresa Seymore

Hi There. I just purchased a 19 foot Luxor Inboard from your dealer in Portland, OR on Friday. They were great. I drove 4 hours to pick up the boat and they were all over getting me taken care of as fast as possible. I have had the boat out twice..it's great.

I have only had a few things in my life go above and beyond what I thought it would be and your boat is one of them. I can't tell you enough how much in just the two times so far I've had it out how it changed the way I enjoy the water. Finally, no worries. It feels great. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT BOATS YOU PUT YOUR HEART AND SWEAT INTO.

Sincerely - Weston and Family

I would just like you to know how much I Love my Envoy!! I purchased my boat in April of 04 and have had it in the water at least 25 times in the last year. Everywhere from Hells Canyon to the Salmon to The Snake around Ontario Ore. Salmon, Steelhead and Cat fishing...We Have done it all. The thing that impresses me is how little water I can run in, 3 or 4 inches. That little 175 sport jet also has plenty of power to go any where I want, and not have to worry if I have enough fuel. The last trip down into Hells Canyon We fished 4 days and made at least 2 trips a day from the dam down to wild sheep and back. I only used 15 gallons of fuel. The only problem with the boat is now all of my friends want to drive it and leave their jet boats at home. Oh well, Fish slime on them. Again, Many thanks for such a great boat.

David Fisher - Boise Idaho

I purchased a new '04 Thunder Jet Alexis Classic from Traveland Marine in the Tri-Cities and have had great success with it. I fish the Columbia and Snake River systems for Steelhead and Salmon. My customers (I take a lot of my business clients fishing) also are very impressed. Since we have had a dealer in the Tri-Cities carrying your boats, we have seen a large increase of Thunder Jets over NW Jets in which we haven't seen before. In fact, we were fishing yesterday at Ice Harbor Dam and 10 of the 12 boats on the river fishing with us were Thunder Jets. Long story short, I am a big promoter of your line of boats. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I would like to share a story with you. I was on vacation during the week of October 17th. For my vacation I camped out at Heller Bar chasing steelhead and chukkars everyday. Needless to say my 21' Alexis was very integral to the success of my trip. On Tuesday, October 19th as I pulled the boat off the beach after chukker hunting I could tell that the throttle cable had broke. After a short inspection to see if we could repair it, it was obvious that we weren't. So, we got back to the launch at Heller Bar with my hunting buddy running the throttle off of the carb to my hand signals. This was a sight to see and something that Pat McManus would have definitely wrote about. We were able to get he boat back on the trailer without incident. First thing Wednesday morning we hauled the boat down to your factory in Clarkston. When I went in to see if I could find someone to replace the throttle cable for me I met a young man named Josh. After Josh heard my story and found out that I had a Thunder Jet he bolted out the door, was up on the boat, had all of the hatches lifted, and had the old cable pulled in about 15 minutes. After no more than an hour the new cable was installed and the boat put back together and ready to roll. I was so impressed at the way that Josh and another young man from the parts desk had dropped what they were doing and helped me out. We had the boat back in the river by 1pm that day. That was the nicest thing that someone that didn't even know me had done for me in a long time! Josh's customer skills are outstanding and he definitely deserves an atta-boy. My hunting partner does not yet own a jet boat, but he will someday and it will probably be a Thunder Jet due to the way mine performs and especially the service we received from Josh.

Mike Dodds - Moses Lake, WA

Thanks a lot! The weekend on the water was awesome to say the least. My Thunder Jet performed much better than I expected in the ocean, on Saturday we were in 8-10' seas with 2-3' wind waves and were able to stay out comfortably, long enough to limit out on bottom fish and Lingcod and then come into the mouth of the Rogue River and tab one really nice Chinook.

Thanks Again - Gene Kitchen

I think your boats are really cool and that someday when I grow up...my dad said that we are going to get the sportsman I hope it is fast and really light....your #1 fan.

Mike Payne

I would like to take time to let you know what a great dealer, (Artistic Jets) you have in Montana. Dwight and his staff are great. They have taken care of everything from helping us select our 21' Thunder Jet, to fixing some little problems that have come up.

Artistic Jets is the reason we selected our boat, and we are happy we did. You build a terrific boat and if all your dealers were as good as ours here in Montana, Thunder Jet will quickly become the #1 Jet Boat in the country. It has our vote.

Every time we are out more potential Thunder Jet customers tell us what a great looking boat we have. We just say thank you, and ask if they think it looks good that they should go for a ride. Most Do!

Once again thanks for a great boat THUNDER JET, soon to be #1 nationwide!

I picked up my Luxor 19 center console from Delta Sport Boats a couple weeks ago and finally put her on the river last week. I just wanted to let you know that you guys make an "awesome boat". I had guides, and other jet boaters on the Sacramento River constantly complimenting the boat and asking a lot of questions. I am very impressed with the attention to detail and use of high quality parts. Even my mechanic friend, who is usually skeptical with jet boat designs and owns a jet boat himself, was totally stoked by the boat when I brought her over. He couldn't believe there was no slide. To be honest I had to do a little tweaking because of the proposing but that was a minor adjustment. I just finished putting on all my electronics and gizmos and now the boat looks "trick". Can't wait to get back on the river next week to show off some more.

Keep up the great work! Well worth the wait.

Al Millan - Apex Prime Angling Endeavors

I must apologize for my "childish" friend who sent that request to you without my knowledge. I already am the proud owner a 1999 Alexis 21. I bought the boat that was built for the boat show in Oakland last year. It was the green "Eddie Bauer" model. This boat turns more heads than "Christi Brinkley". It is almost embarrassing. The craftsmanship is unequaled in any other brand of boat that I've seen. The performance is also something special.

I just thought I would take this opportunity to let you know that you have another satisfied customer.

Sincerely - Bill Berryman

Enclosed are some pictures of our boat (22' Alexis) in Deception Pass over Labor Day Weekend. We can not begin to tell you how pleased we are with our boat. IT IS LOADS OF FUN! It Handles extremely well and fits our needs to a tee. Our overnight trips were comfortable too. We can not get over the fact we can even stretch completely out on our bed. It makes you wonder why anyone would want to sleep in a V-berth. Not to mention wherever we go there are always people looking and saying "nice boat". It is not just fisherman either. We have had Game Wardens come over, ogle it, and say how much they want it.

Thanks for everything! It has been a pleasure.

John & Tammy Pownall - N. Bend, WA

First I wanted to thank you for standing behind your product - even 2500 miles away - that's great! When I picked the boat up I really liked it, but the more I run it, the more I like it. That jet is awesome. I used it in the ocean for 4 days. While running out 60 miles from the harbor I ran across dozens of patches of seaweed and kelp (floating) without clogging the jet. The jet would just pass weeds right through. On the Yukon river last weekend there was hundreds of sticks floating and the water was rough (making the sticks hard to see). The jet never plugged. I traveled about 260 river miles... That same night, when I launched it and went to pull back into shore I got stuck on a gravel bar (hidden) about 15 feet from the bank. I thought just the bow was stuck so I put it in reverse and throttled up some. Well it didn't move, because the jet was in the gravel too. I stopped the motor and got it to float off. I started the motor and took off upstream and guess what? No rocks in the jet even though there was a 3 foot wide by 18 inch deep hole in the gravel bar where I tried to back up. Anyway, I'm impressed... Better close for now. Thanks for a super boat!

Dave Machacek - North Pole, Alaska

You did a great job on John Saucerman's boat. I spent a couple days of days on the South Fork of the Snake River with John. Needless to say, I am always impressed with the Thunder Jet and the way it handles rivers. I use mine in the Lewis and Cowlitz in Washington State....I am a bit jealous of the boat you sold to John since it has evolved into the best contender in the business. The added support to the rail system, the completely flat rear deck and the added rod holders are all a plus...Keep up the production on the best boat in the business.

Jim Sempek - Lakewood, WA

I'm writing to thank you for a great 25' Sled - "Thunder Jet" and the fantastic service. You and your crew have every reason to be proud of yourselves and the Thunder Jet organization as a whole. I, in particular, appreciate your assistance in helping me make the right choice of a boat for my needs. Then, as you know, the crew did a super quality job of putting it all together -- great welds, upholstery, assembly, etc. You topped it all off with delivery per your commitment which is rare in today's world. I've had the boat for two months and am very pleased with the follow-up service. The best of luck and a great future to you all.

Ken Verboort - Portland, Oregon

Good to see you again at the Seattle "2000" boat show. Hope all is well with you. I wanted to let you know that I recently had a Marine Welder with 30 years experience add a short railing to my Thunder Jet swim step to aid divers in pulling themselves back on to the boat. I left my boat with him overnight, so he had plenty of time to look it over. When I picked it up the next day he informed me that in his 30 years of marine welding experience he had never seen such a well designed, professionally constructed boat. He said the welding was the best he had ever seen.

Another side bar you might be interested in; The first time I launched my boat at the marina in Everett, Washington the Coast Guard was on hand inspecting boats. They looked over my ThunderJet thoroughly and then placed an Impound sticker on it and began to walk away. I asked them what the he-- the problem was. They slowly turned around, advising me that they didn't want the boat moved until they "could take measurements for the flashing red and blue lights they needed to install before it could be added to their fleet".

Again, I hope all is well.....and thanks for making such a fine product!

Jerry Effenberger

I'm not the type of person to write letters of testimony regarding a product I have purchased, mostly because I'm so busy. But, we are so pleased with our boat we bought from you at last years boat show, I felt I must write. There are many reasons, as I will try to explain...but the obvious one is the fact that it is presently in your shop for repairs due to an incident which happened on the Clackamas River two weeks ago...

I took a friend for a ride on the Clackamas River. He had recently bought a Duckworth and hadn't gotten into any fast water with it and wanted to learn how to drive in winter weather. We put in at the Cedar Oak boat ramp on the Willamette and cruised up the Clackamas River approximately 25 to 30 miles until we had gotten up past McIver Park near Estacada. The boat was running great, the air temperature was about 40 degrees, the water a chilly 38 degrees. We were warm inside the canopy with the plastic cover buttoned up. It was a magnificent trip, the Clackamas River is one of the most scenic rivers in Oregon and we were having a great time. I had let Dean drive the boat most of the way and he was getting the feel for it really well. Then we came to one particular area by McIver Park where there was substantial white water. I took over the wheel and drove through showing Dean and the kids some areas we might fish on a later trip.

On the way back down through this particular piece of water of water, we were suddenly jolted by a huge submerged rock which violently threw the boat sideways. Suddenly the boat was pinned on the right side at about a 70 degree angle and Dean was on top of me. What happened next is nothing short of a miracle...All I remember was hearing the boat screaming and suddenly it started moving, grinding across the rock pinning the right side of the boat. Incredibly, the boat cleared the rock whereby the force of the river threw us up against another rock forcing the boat to pirouette 180 degrees back the other direction pounding us momentarily against the rock we already had been struck against. As we bounced across the side of it again, the water picked us up and threw us over/against a fourth rock and we ended up floating out of this precarious piece of water in a daze. As we came to, I yelled back to Floyd (one of the kids) to check the bilge. As he pulled the cover, he saw that we had taken on about six inches of water and it was rising. I wasn't sure how much damage we had incurred on the hull, but I was able to get the boat up and on plane and start the bilge pump which was able to keep up with the incoming water. I didn't know how much damage had been done, but the boat was able to navigate the 30 miles downstream until we got it up on the trailer.

You have seen the damage, now you have heard how it happened. Words cannot describe how (when faced with a life and death situation) this boat performed under the most extreme case imaginable, and saved the lives of four (much wiser) fishermen. I recommend your boats and their hull to anyone, and I dare anyone on this planet to prove me wrong when I say Thunder Jet is the best boat on the market! We will never ever put the boat into that serious of a situation again (stupid is what stupid does) but just having the security of knowing how well built our boat is will give me the confidence to take my boat almost anywhere. (My wife will let me go!)

Please feel free to show this letter to anyone asking about your jet boats. It saved my life and I am grateful to you, your staff including Liana who has answered countless phone calls over the past 6 months, and especially your crew who actually built "Thumper, The Wonder Boat!"

Jim & Ann Clark (and kids) - Wilsonville, OR
